Collection: Japanese sakeware
Japan boasts a rich and nuanced jizake (local sake) culture, showcasing regional specialties from sake to shochu, each embodying distinct characteristics of their places of origin. Drinking from locally crafted ceramic sakeware deepens this experience, with each region’s ceramic designs reflecting unique aesthetics that harmonize with its local flavors and ingredients.
The second-generation head of SanBaoTea has long immersed himself in the craft studios of Japan, studying regional ceramic techniques. In 2023, he earned the SSI International Sake Sommelier (Sakasho) certification, blending his love for sake and sakeware to share his insights with Japanese sake enthusiasts. A traditional sake set includes a flask and cups, often ceramic but also available in wood, lacquered wood, or glass, enriching the authentic experience.
